Please note that all users with the correct password will be able to add, edit, and delete files in the directory you specify for FTP, as well as any directories within that specified directory.
Adding a new FTP account:
- Log in to cPanel.
- Click the "FTP Accounts" link under "Files."
- Click "Add FTP Account."
- Enter the FTP account name in the Login field and the password in the Password field.
- Enter the name of the folder the FTP account will have access to.
⚠️ Warning: If you enter the symbol (/) instead of a folder name, all users with the correct password will be able to add, edit, and delete all files on your server. It's recommended to limit the FTP account to a lower access level.
- Click the "Create" button.
To log in, use the details you just set:
Username: user@yourdomain.com
Password: password
Port: 21
